East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 17th to 19th century CE. A fine collection of 6 pieces of Chinese porcelain including classic blue-on-white cups, bowls, and famille rose dishes. The lovely pair of late Qing famille rose saucers have polychrome hues of pink, red, and green upon ivory white glaze- both displaying blooming flower motifs. The teacups and bowl are a nice grouping of blue-on-white porcelain each with floral and linear geometric motifs on the rims, and two also contain scholarly figures and animals. Size (dish): 6.5" Diameter x 1" H (16.5 cm x 2.5 cm); (smallest cup): 2.5" L x 1.25" H (6.4 cm x 3.2 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
