East Asia, China, Neolithic Period, ca. 2nd millennium BCE. A charming ancient ceramic vessel with a short spout projecting from one upper shoulder and a strap handle ninety degrees from it. The body tapers, fruit-like, to a flat base. The body has applied strips that flow down from the mouth to below the shoulder, creating a fascinating textured surface. Size: 4.75" W x 3.75" H (12.1 cm x 9.5 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full report will accompany purchase.
