Description:

East Asia, China, Ming to Qing Dynasty, ca. 1500 to 1900 CE. A large female nude statue, finely carved from translucent rock crystal. She sits with both hands placed upon her knees, her voluptuous breasts and buttocks emphasized by the sculptor. Her tranquil visage is comprised of elegant cat eyes, a straight nose, full lips, ears, and an upswept coiffure. The style is reminiscent of pieces excavated from the famed Hongshan Neolithic mound, a huge burial site in Inner Mongolia. Size: 1.625" W x 7.75" H (4.1 cm x 19.7 cm)
