East Asia, China, late Ming Dynasty, ca. 17th century CE. A fine pottery bowl featuring impressively thin walls that rise upward and gently flare outwards to a wide, annular rim above a deep basin, all sitting atop a ring-form foot. A lovely white glaze envelops the entirety of the vessel, while the interior basin boasts blue-on-white decoration of a central tondo containing an abstract vegetal or avian motif. Size: 8.1" Diameter x 3.8" H (20.6 cm x 9.7 cm)
