Description:

East Asia, China, late Ming to early Qing Dynasty, ca. 1600 to 1700 CE. A lovely export style porcelain dish with a blue-on-white patterning. The piece rests on a low ring foot with a Chinese character mark within a square in the center. The surface is underglaze with a deep cobalt, concentric circles, and at the center is a large longevity symbol or shou character in simple lines of white on a solid blue ground. Size: 10" Diameter x 1.8" H (25.4 cm x 4.6 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.
