**Previously Listed At $100

China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. A bright sancai green glazed tomb offering in the form of a chest atop a table that stands on four squared legs. The details of the chest are delightful, including hinges, handles, and a lock; similarly, the table is shown with drawers. The chest and table are clearly mold-made from a single piece. There are three unglazed spots on the top, probably from it being glazed with something else standing on top of it. Hundreds of pottery figures like these were placed into tombs during the Ming period. Size: 3.05" L x 4.1" W x 5" H (7.7 cm x 10.4 cm x 12.7 cm)

Provenance: Ex-Private New Orleans collection acquired over 25 years ago
