East Asia, China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. A pair of charming glazed pottery figures from a Ming period tomb. First, a hog's head displayed on a round platter, ready for a feast, with the head glazed olive green and the platter left unglazed. Second, a dragon with a long, serpentine body, lizard-like legs, a broad, bird-like tail, and a lion-like head, glazed with the same green color. Size of largest (dragon): 9" W x 2.2" H (22.9 cm x 5.6 cm)
