Description:

East Asia, China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. A fine wheel-thrown pottery jar with a slightly concave base, an apple-shaped body with a rounded shoulder, and a pair of cylindrical suspension loops flanking the thick rim. The vessel is covered with a pale green celadon glaze that imbues it with an elegant presentation. Size: 4.5" W x 3.875" H (11.4 cm x 9.8 cm).

Provenance: private Rochester, Michigan, USA collection collected in the late 20th century.
