Description:

East Asia, China, ca. 20th century CE. A stunning jade pendant, finely etched with a delicate flower on one side and a four-character inscription on the other. This rectangular stone, crafted with a suspension loop along the upper edge, is shaped to resemble a traditional padlock, symbolizing security and longevity - an ancient talisman of protection. Nearly all lock charms feature character inscriptions, believed to bring fortune to the wearer. The pendant is elegantly paired with a gold bail and a box-style 14K gold chain, adding a luxurious touch to this timeless accessory. The chain can be easily replaced to suit personal preference. Size of pendant: 1.75" L x 1.2" W (4.4 cm x 3 cm); chain: 19.5" L (49.5 cm); jade weight: 13.2 grams
