Description:

East Asia, China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A lovely ancient pottery vessel with a thick green glaze, silvery iridescence across the surface, and earthen and mineral deposits inside the interior. The cup rests on a flat base with a simple cylindrical body and a pinched ring handle to one side. Elegant vessels such as this became funerary offerings for the afterlife and were buried with the deceased. Size: 3.75" W x 3.125" H (9.5 cm x 7.9 cm)
