East Asia, China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A cast leaded-bronze mirror of discoid form with a central discoid boss with a transverse suspension hole through the sides. The mirror displays 4 petite standing figures facing one another in front of a pagoda flanked by a pair of large cranes, and with an altar, vase-held plants, and petite daggers in the surrounding areas. Size: 5.25" Diameter x 0.25" H (13.3 cm x 0.6 cm)

Provenance: private Sylmer, California, USA collection, acquired via descent, originally collected in Asia in the 1950s
