Description:

Northern Peru, Pre-Columbian, Ca 1000 to 1400 CE. Colorful woven textile with four connected strips woven in red, black and yellow camelid fibers in a repeating diamond pattern. Attached to bottom of strips are red fringes attached with blue fibers. Completing this wonderful example, brown camelid twine and raw camelid "fleece" were used to hang this object in some ceremonial fashion. 12" long x 8-1/2" wide. Provenance: Ex-private Oregon Collection acquired prior to 1960. The starting price is the lowest price at which this item can sell
