Description:

Pre-Columbian, North/Central Coast of Peru, Chimu culture, ca. 1100 to 1470 CE. A mold-formed blackware pottery bowl with fine burnishing marks and a raised zoomorphic motif on each side. One side depicts a pair of birds with lengthy beaks and C-shaped bodies while the opposite side shows a lengthy snake coiled into a tight spiral. A thick strap handle arches off the verso of the cylindrical spout, making it easy to transport. Size: 3.875" L x 5" W x 6.125" H (9.8 cm x 12.7 cm x 15.6 cm)
