Pre-Columbia, Peru, central coast, Chancay, ca. 1000 to 1300 CE. Nicely preserved sewing or weaver's basket of woven reed, filled with original sewing implements. Includes balls of yarn, weaving sticks, several with wound threads and two with pottery spindle whorls. A wonderful example of tools and materials used to create ancient textiles! Size: 7" L x 11" W x 3" H (17.8 cm x 27.9 cm x 7.6 cm)
