Pre-Columbian, Central Coast of Peru, Chancay, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. A hand-built pottery canteen exhibiting stone-burnished surfaces and a dense black-and-white panel decorating each shoulder. Resting atop one shoulder is an abstract camelid creature, and a pierced suspension loop is situation on the central ridge surrounding the peripheries. Size: 4.25" L x 8" W x 9.25" H (10.8 cm x 20.3 cm x 23.5 cm)
