Description:

Pre-Columbian, Peru, Chancay, ca. 1000 CE. A superb pottery jar from this very artistic culture! They could do more in black and white than most cultures could using a full color palette. The jar itself is decorated with multiple vertical stripes of bird heads and fish toward the rim. Size: 14"H x 9"W. Provenance: Ex-private Westermann collection, Germany. All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids. #108953
