Description:

Central Asia, Bactria-Margiana (BMAC) or Luristan, ca. 2nd millennium BCE. A beautiful bronze dagger with a narrow, nearly flat blade and a thin handle cast onto the blade. The handle broadens slightly at the guard and has a small, crescent-shaped pommel. Central Asia during the Bronze Age was a crossroads of trade, warfare, and above all ideas; people here were influenced by Iran in the west and the Indus Valley civilizations like Harappa in the east; however, they had their own distinctive bronze style. Size: 1.2" W x 11.75" H (3 cm x 29.8 cm)
