Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Chihuahua region, Casas Grandes culture, ca. 1100 to 1450 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl of utilitarian form with a round but stable base and a petite, flared rim. The beige-ground vessel is densely decorated with black linear and geometric motifs within the basin, and the exterior features broad diamonds with spiraling centers within a field of russet-hued pigment. Size: 6.60" Diameter x 4.25" H (16.8 cm x 10.8 cm)
