Description:

Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Chihuahua region, Casas Grandes culture, ca. 1150 to 1450 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl of hemispherical form with a stable, russet-hued base. The white-ground basin surface is decorated with elaborate stepped patterns, with inverted steps above striped steps below, and all enclosed within a set of thick black bands. Surrounding the rim is a band of alternating solid and spotted rectangles. Size: 4.66" Diameter x 2.875" H (11.8 cm x 7.3 cm)
