First Nations, Northwestern Canada, Aleut, Yupik, or Inuit, ca. 1981 CE. A large soapstone carving of an abstract figure's bust upon a walrus, the oversized head is in a traditional parka hood. The underside of the base is presumably etched with the artist's name in Inuktitut script followed by the year, and disc number. Size: 5.5" L x 2.25" W x 9.5" H (14 cm x 5.7 cm x 24.1 cm)
