Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Dynasty, ca. 12th century CE. An effective stabbing weapon, with a long, double-edged iron blade; with ornately incised bronze handle. The Khmer are the ancient inhabitants of Cambodia . From the 7th to the 14th centuries, they established a powerful kingdom based at Angkor from which they ruled over much of Indochina. In that period, they produced exquisite architecture and sculpture. Khmer civilization was formed largely by Indian influences. This example measures 18-1/2""L. Custom stand.
