Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Byzantine Empire, ca. 6th to 8th century CE. A leaded copper ring with a beautiful multilayered patina and incised motif on the ovoid face and a rounded shank. The outer edge of the face is incised with dots that encircle the interior motif of etched lines that form a diamond shape with lines extending out to the sides. This ring is wearable and has a lovely golden, green, and russet patina. Size (opening): .87" Diameter (2.2 cm); (face): .875" W (2.2 cm); US ring size: 8
