A beautiful piece of wearable art from the Byzantine period comprised of a 22K+ gold chain with five gold chain danglers (all measuring 95% gold as well) - each one terminating in a polished rounded garnet and a natural pearl - as well as a garnet and pearl at each end, just before the decorative clasp. Size: 17.75" L (45.1 cm); central dangler measures 1.875" L (4.8 cm); total weight: 31.3 grams

Provenance: private East Coast, USA collection; ex-Frances Artuner collection, Belgium, acquired in the 1960s
