Description:

Thrace, ca. 4th-3rd century BCE. The pectoral is composed of sections of torded silver wire alternating with rings and three large discs with punched decoration of buckles and circular and undulating lines of dots. Ten rings with lunula pendants are suspended from the discs and thetorded wire between the discs. The chain links and the clasp are modern restorations in 925 silver. Recently cleaned. 18cm L Provenance: Formerly Collection M.W., Buxheim, Germany.
