Pre-Columbian, Columbia, Tairona culture, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. An elegant necklace comprised of 24 translucent quartz crystal lozenge-shaped beads, all biconically drilled, alternating with disc-shaped green stone spacers, most of which are pairs. Gold-tones modern clasp. A lovely piece of wearable art, replete with a symmetrical, balanced design and a subtantial number of hand-carved, polished beads from inherently beautiful stones. Size: 19" L (48.3 cm); largest quartz crystal bead measures .75" L (1.9 cm)
