Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely hand-blown green glass vase with a near-translucent composition. The vessel is comprised of a slight-concave base with a smooth pontil, an apple-shaped body, tubular neck, splayed rim, and twin applied undulating trail handles. Areas of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence adorn the sides in hues of amethyst, emerald, sapphire, and citrine. Beautiful and delicate! Size: 5.5" H (14 cm).
