Description:

Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. 4th century CE. A beautiful cup of a petite form, free-blown from semi-translucent aqua-hued glass. The cup is defined by a slightly-concave base with an incised ring, rounded walls, a deep basin, and a smooth, ground-down rim. The inside of the rim is decorated with a thin wheel-cut striation which gives it an elegant presentation. Thick swaths of rainbow-hued iridescence envelop the vessel and nicely complement the vibrant blue hues. Size: 2.95" W x 1.75" H (7.5 cm x 4.4 cm).
