Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 3rd to 4th century CE. A lovely bowl of a circular form, free-blown from translucent, pale-green glass. The vessel presents with a circular foot surrounding a rough pontil scar, a deep basin, and a lightly-corseted neck with a smooth rim. Though thick calcifications envelop most of the exterior, visible areas of rainbow-hued iridescence nicely complement the vessel's soft spring hues. Size: 3.8" W x 2.4" H (9.7 cm x 6.1 cm).
