Ancient Central Asia, Bactrian, ca. 2500 to 2250 BCE. A stunning ensemble of 66 ancient Bactrian beads, all skillfully hand-carved from agate stones and strung on a modern strand with a lobster claw clasp to be wearable. Boasting natural hues of caramel, chocolate, vanilla, almond, charcoal, coral, sage, black, blue, periwinkle, and gray, the beautiful beads present in varying shapes of bicone, ellipsoid, oblate, spherical, cylinder, convex rectangular, and barrel, all arranged in a lovely, alternating pattern with 3 beads projecting at the center to serve as a type of pendant. Size (strand): 26" L (66 cm); (largest bead): 1.6" L x 0.6" W (4.1 cm x 1.5 cm)
