Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ban Chiang, ca. 300 BCE. A large pedestal bowl with a wide and concave foot, a bulbous bowl with rounded walls, a deep interior cavity, and a rolled rim. The bowl has a dark exterior color with swirls of russet-hued details, and the foot has a slight orange-red color on the buff surface. Size: 6" H (15.2 cm).

Provenance: private Rochester, Michigan, USA collection acquired before 2000
