Description:

Ancient Central Asia, Bactrian, Murghab type, ca. 2300 to 1700 BCE. A hand-built pottery stamp seal presenting a corseted form with a broad flower on each protruding stamp face. The light pink stamp has a convex midsection that enabled the user to easily impress the pattern into the intended surface. This type of stamp seal is consistent with other examples found near the Murghab river. Custom putty impressions included. Size: 1.625" L x 1.3" W (4.1 cm x 3.3 cm); 2.9" H (7.4 cm) on included custom stand.
