Description:

Central Asia, Bactria, ca. 2000 BCE. A wonderful strand of over 80 ancient beads made of glass, lapis lazuli, quartz, and carnelian stones that are hand carved and strung as an elegant necklace. The shapes presented are of spherical, petite seed, and lozenge forms and are strung in a symmetrical, balanced arrangement with the smallest orange carnelian stones flanking the larger glass and stone beads; at the center is a semi-translucent quartz stone pendant. The necklace is strung in modern times to make these beads wearable with a modern gold-plated pin clasp. This is a pretty piece that is nice for everyday use to brighten up any outfit. Size of necklace: 22.75" L (57.8 cm); largest bead: 1" L x .8" W (2.5 cm x 2 cm)
