Pakistan/Afghanistan, Bactrian, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A gorgeous necklace comprised of thirty nine carnelian beads of various shapes (round, ovoid, lozenge, and tubular) and twenty six faceted round high karat pure gold over wax core beads. This lovely combination of gold and carnelian makes for a sunny color scheme of yellow and orange/red. Ancient, wearable, and beautiful! Size: 24" L (61 cm), stand not included. Lozenge beads measure ~ .625" L (1.6 cm). Gold beads measure ~ .25" in diameter (.6 cm)
