A beautiful, hand-painted eucalyptus bark painting featuring stylized iconography of people in a boat paddling over a trio of animals - a turtle and a pair of ambiguous creatures - perhaps fish or crocodilians. This painting was done in the traditional style of West Arnhem Land, which is part of the oldest continuous tradition of painting (from rock art to bark) known in the world. Size: 24.75" L x 10" W (62.9 cm x 25.4 cm)
