Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A lovely strand of 24 jasper beads, each one skillfully carved into a tubular form and presenting a rich array of rose-red hues. All of the beads are ancient; however, they were strung on a modern cord to create this attractive strand. Please note that the display stand in the photos is not included. Size: 25" L (63.5 cm); largest bead measures 1.625" L x .5" W (4.1 cm x 1.3 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
