Native American, Midwestern United States, Archaic to Woodlands, ca. 1000 BCE to 1000 CE. A collection of 4 worked stone tools, one with linear grooves from use as an arrow shaft straightener or abrading tool, another large stone flattened on both sides, possibly a hammerstone or grinder. The dark hematite stone is hemispherical with a heavily polished flat face, and the final tan-red stone might be a cone preform. Size of largest: 4.5" L x 3.75" W x 1.5" H (11.4 cm x 9.5 cm x 3.8 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
