Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo & Apache, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A pair of plain leather moccasins, one with a low ankle cut and laces, the other with a taller cut and silver button side closures. The buttons and style are indicative of Navajo, while the other pair might be Apache, and perhaps for everyday use rather than powwows due to their simplicity. Although worn, both are in nice antique condition. Size of largest: 9.25" L x 3" W x 7" H (23.5 cm x 7.6 cm x 17.8 cm)

Provenance: Private Parker, Colorado, USA collection
