Description:

North America, United States, early to mid 20th century CE. This is an adorable diorama of a model ship coming into harbor replete with blue, clay water, a small house, and paper cutouts of cities and harbors pasted to the walls. The diorama is contained in a wood glass case with an electrical light set in the corner that illuminates this scene. The ship has the name "Eddie" printed on the side. The dotted blue background paper is also used to create a makeshift flag on the bow and on a mast, you could call these "flags of convenience." Jokes aside, this is a fun piece with a working light that creates a nice ambiance for this scene. A small door on the top opens to adjust the light bulb or rigging, and the cord extends out from the back of the case. Size: 20.5" L x 8" W x 15" H (52.1 cm x 20.3 cm x 38.1 cm)
