Northwestern Europe, probably England, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A lovely nickel-silver belt consisting of 16 sections each comprised of links and horseshoes. Each segment has two chains that connect the three horseshoes together. At the center are two segments that contain the largest shoes with the ends of a hook clasp. A fine accessory for any equine enthusiast! Size of smaller segments: 3.8" L x 1" W (9.7 cm x 2.5 cm); case: 16.25" L x .875" W x 12.125" H (41.3 cm x 2.2 cm x 30.8 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
