Description:

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. 1000 BCE to 100 CE. A pyramidal shaped bronze bell, cast with 2 loops for suspension. The sides are smooth and unadorned, and the clapper ball is absent, but a drill hole through the top would have once been used to suspend this piece. This bell may have been for livestock, a collar to keep track of cattle herds. Size: 2.5" W x 2.75" H (6.4 cm x 7 cm)
