Southeast Asia, Thailand, Mon Dvaravati Period, ca. 6th to 10th century CE. A trio of hand-built pottery pouring vessels known as kendis, each with a protruding foot, a large, apple-shaped body, an upturned pouring spout with a discoid ringlet, and a flared rim that perhaps accommodated a lid at one time. Size: 7.5" W x 7.8" H (19 cm x 19.8 cm)

  • Condition: Restoration to entire rim, most of upper neck, and entire pouring spout, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Abrasions, nicks, several spalls, and encrustations to body and foot. Nice earthen deposits throughout.
