Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A large and simple wheel thrown redware pottery dish, with a ring foot and carinated body under the outward-curving rim. Such a vessel was perhaps used in a kitchen or dining room for preparing and serving food. Size: 11" Diameter x 2.25" H (27.9 cm x 5.7 cm); 12" H (30.5 cm) on included custom stand.
