Near East / Eastern Mediterranean, Roman-Byzantine & Egyptian, ca. 400 BCE to 400 CE. Ancient glass and stone beads strung on modern gold-plated silver ear hooks, band, and findings as a wearable pair of earrings and a ring! The earrings have turquoise hued seed beads and a spherical carnelian stone suspended from pin findings. The ring is comprised of a modern U-shaped band with coiled wires and ancient glass beads - the central bead is a semi-transparent aqua hue that swivels freely on the bar. Size of earrings: 1.5" L (3.8 cm); carnelian bead: 0.29" L (0.7 cm); ring band opening: 0.8" Diameter (2 cm); US ring size: 9.5; silver quality: 89% to 92%; gold quality: 1%; total combined weight: 6.6 grams
