Near East, Persia, modern day Iran, ca. 1st millennium CE. A lovely necklace featuring nine glass beads of complementary black and yellow hues and many grey stone spacers arranged in a balanced, symmetrical composition. From the neck down, a pair of black glass round beads, a pair of yellow glass round beads, a slightly larger pair of black glass rounded beads, an even larger pair of yellow rounded beads, and finally a lozenge-shaped black pendant - all suspended between disk-shaped stone beads of various shades of grey. Very wearable! Size: 19" L (48.3 cm); central pendant bead measures .875" L (2.2 cm)

Provenance: private Florida collection acquired in the 1980's
