Teardrop-shaped carnelian beads are spaced with long bugle beads made of different white, grey, green, and blue faience. Faience beads from the ancient Near East were valuable items, traded far and wide into eastern Asia and northern Europe. Here they complement the carnelian well. Size: 22" L (of chain) (55.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Vero Beach, Florida, USA collection, acquired by the present owner during his visits to Teheran, Iran and in the 1960s and early 70s
