Description:

Persia, modern day Iran, 1st millennium CE. A pretty, long necklace featuring a collection of different shapes and designs of blue faience beads. Many have incised line designs and interesting shapes. Two small, pineapple-shaped beads jut out from the sides and a long cylindrical bead forms the nadir. Faience beads made in this region were highly valued throughout the ancient world; ones that were traded north and east have been found in Europe and Siberia. Very wearable! Size: 34" L (86.4 cm)
