Western Asia, Iran/Persia, Bronze Age, ca. early to mid 2nd millennium BCE. A charming round-bodied pottery vessel with a few decorative bumps on the shoulder and an elegant tall spout and handle. The spout would once have had a projection from its mouth to give the vessel an avian appearance, a common style in Persian ceramics throughout history. Size: 7" W x 11.55" H (17.8 cm x 29.3 cm)
