Description:

Near East, Parthia, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE. A single gold earring comprised of 95.5% gold (equivalent to 22K+) and the design composed of a small triangular earring with a pinned hinge from which is suspended a cluster of approximately a dozen pearls threaded on a network of gold wires. At the very bottom of the earring is a large pearl hung from a small, double gold loop. Size when fully suspended: 1.7" H (4.3 cm); gold quality: 95.5% or the equivalent of 22K+; total weight: 5.8 grams.
