An oval stone mortar and petite conical pestle, the two tools are made from different stone types and might not be a matched pair. The mortar and pestle are among mankind's oldest implements, used for preparation of food, medicines, pigments, unguents, and perfumes. Size of mortar: 4.25" L x 3" W x 1.6" H (10.8 cm x 7.6 cm x 4.1 cm)
