Description:

Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran and Southeastern Turkey, Luristan or Marlik culture, ca. 1200 to 600 BCE. A forged-bronze spear blade of a substantial form with sharpened edges, a thick midrib, a relatively rounded tip, and a thick tang with a curved attachment tip. Blades like this were mounted atop wooden poles for use in guard duty or on the field of battle. Nice layers of green and brown patina have formed across the weapon. Size: 16.6" L x 2.1" W (42.2 cm x 5.3 cm)
